HIOKI launches new Series of AC/DC Clamp On Sensors03 September 2012 - HIOKI E.E. announces the launch of the CT969X-90 series of clamp-on AC/DC current sensors. The series encompasses three types of AC and DC current sensors, differentiated by current rating. The primary current is rated depending on type from 100 to 2000 A AC/DC. The CT969X-90 series consists of current sensors as well as the CT6590 Sensor Unit, which powers the sensors. Automakers are currently involved in fierce competition to develop batteries and other components for electric and hybrid automobiles. At the same time, the move to deploy solar power systems is gaining momentum as a way to diversify the power grid, while datacenters equipped with corporate servers and essential data communications equipment are beginning to support use of DC power supplies. In each of these fields, DC current measurement is an essential capability. HIOKI’s newly available CT969X-90 series encompasses three types of AC and DC current sensors, differentiated by current rating. Used in combination with HIOKI data recorders (MEMORY HiCORDERs) and power quality analyzers, the sensors are poised to help meet the growing need for DC current measurement. www.hioki.com |
