Conformance Test for IMS Emergency Services Calls06 May 2014 - Mobile device and handset manufacturers can soon certify that their products conform to the 3GPP protocols for ‘emergency services calls over IMS’ with the introduction by Anritsu of the first PTCRB-approved test case. Anritsu has added the new protocol test cases for IMS (IP Multimedia Sub-system) emergency services calls to the suite of test cases supported on the widely used ME7834L Protocol Conformance Test (PCT) system.
AMETEK acquired Teseq Group06 May 2014 - AMETEK, Inc. has acquired the Teseq Group, a leading manufacturer of test and measurement instrumentation for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, for CHF 83 million ($92 million). Headquartered in Luterbach, Switzerland, the privately held company has annual sales of approximately CHF 48 million ($53 million).
Signal Analysis Software supports custom IQ Modulation Analysis05 May 2014 – Agilent Technologies announced that its 89600 VSA software has been enhanced with custom IQ modulation analysis. The analysis capability speeds time to insight by allowing R&D engineers to more easily test proprietary signals for satellite and military communication applications. YXLON improves AXI resolution and user friendliness05 May 2014 - YXLON International has increased the performance capability and user friendliness of its Y.Cougar and Y.Cheetah microfocus X-ray systems once again with the System Release 3.8 for the FeinFocus product lines. The AXI systems are being presented from the 6th to the 8th of May at the SMT Hybrid Packaging trade fair in Nuremberg together with these new functional enhancements and improvements.
LTX-Credence launches Tester for next Generation Low Cost RF Devices02 May 2014 - LTX-Credence Corporation announced the second generation X-Series PAx test system, the PAx-ac. The PAx-ac is specifically designed to deliver the lowest cost of test for high performance, high volume manufacturing of RF front end mobility devices designed for the 802.11ac 160MHz and LTE Advanced modulation standards.
Software Defined Radio Platforms with two RF transceivers covering DC–6 GHz02 May 2014 - Ettus Research, a National Instruments company, introduced the USRP X300 and USRP X310 high-performance, modular software defined radio (SDR) platforms. Both platforms combine two RF transceivers covering DC–6 GHz with up to 120 MHz bandwidth and a large user-programmable Kintex-7 FPGA. The USRP X300 and USRP X310 both feature multiple high-speed interface options, including PCI Express, dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet and dual 1 Gigabit Ethernet and is available in in a convenient desktop or rack-mountable half-wide 1U form factor.
MEMS Microphone Test Handler30 April 2014 - Multitest shipped the first MEMS Microphone Test Module that achieves a unique 65dbA signal to noise ratio over the whole frequency range of 20 Hz up to 20 kHz and sound pressure levels of > 130 dB. The total harmonic distortion at 1 kHz, 120 db is less than 1%. Depending on device size the sound pressure level is linear in a range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. More Articles ...
