News - Board and System TestDecode, Trigger & Search Support for the CAN XL Protocol22 March 2024 - Tektronix announced the release of the Tektronix CAN XL (Controller Area Network Extended Length) protocol decoder, enabling engineers incorporating the latest generation of CAN communications, and helping Tektronix customers compete in today’s fast-changing technology landscape. With the ability to decode signals representing data packets transmitted using CAN XL frames in a CAN network, the Tektronix CAN XL protocol decoder runs on today’s 4, 5, 6 Series MSO Oscilloscopes and also offers critical features such as error detection, analysis and debugging of timing and protocol headers. Verification of ultrafast 5G Communication Solutions20 March 2024 – Anritsu Corporation and MediaTek have verified Advanced three uplink transmission (3TX) Technology featured in MediaTek's M80 5G Modem by using Anritsu's MT8000A all-in-one Radio Communication Test Station, providing a flexible test platform for ultrafast, large-capacity 5G communications. The MT8000A supports sub-6 GHz and mmWave RF tests, as well as protocol tests for development of advanced 5G technologies. Test Solutions for new EEI Regulation18 March 2024 - Rohde & Schwarz and SmartViser have partnered to develop a solution for testing compliance with a new regulation that will require Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) labeling for smartphones and tablets sold in the EU. At the core of the solution is the R&S CMX500, a radio communication tester that supports end-to-end testing of all signaling use cases, combined with SmartViser’s viSer test automation application – available for Android and iOS. Narrowband Non-Terrestrial Networks Over-The-Air Test Solution11 March 2024 - Keysight Technologies and ETS-Lindgren announced an industry-first over-the-air (OTA) test solution for devices supporting the narrowband non-terrestrial networks (NB-NTN) technology. Non-terrestrial networks (NTN), a feature of 3GPP Release 17 (Rel-17), enables cellular communications to be delivered by satellite, providing secure, reliable, and high bandwidth coverage to isolated locations globally. The initial technology enabled by NTN is narrowband internet of things (NB-IoT), which enables many new use cases, including asset tracking, remote monitoring, and emergency services. This enables mobile network operators to provide coverage to a wider geographical area and a larger number of subscribers. Verification of world’s first 5G-V2X Chipset07 March 2024 - Autotalks, a provider of V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication solutions, has used test expertise and equipment from Rohde & Schwarz to verify the performance of their third-generation V2X chipset. TEKTON3 and SECTON3 were verified using the latest 5G-V2X capability of the R&S CMP180 radio communication tester. The two companies presented jointly a 5G-V2X test setup at Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona. 6 GHz Band RF Test for 5G FR1 Devices06 March 2024 – Anritsu Corporation introduced new NR Licensed 6GHz Band Measurement MX800010A-014 software for its MT8000A Radio Communication Test Station. The system now supports RF tests in the 6 GHz band (5.925 GHz to 7.125 GHz) for 5G FR1 devices. The upgrade has been developed in swift response to an extension in December 2023 of the upper frequency for licensed bands operating on 5G Frequency Range 1 (FR1). Where previously licensed bands were below 6 GHz, 3GPP Release 17 has seen them increased to 7.125 GHz in order to facilitate the growing amount of mobile, wi-fi, and other wireless traffic operating across these bands. Product Line for High-Fidelity Qubit Control05 March 2024 - Zurich Instruments makes another step towards more computational quantum power. The new product line, SHF+, enables increased high-fidelity qubit control, and the new feature has already been tested at leading quantum labs. This allows for even more reliable manipulation of fragile quantum states, and thus enables running more powerful algorithms. This is yet another important step toward the endgame: building a useful quantum computer. More Articles ...
