News - Board and System TestTRI launches High Performance 3D SPI Solution16 August 2023 - Test Research, Inc. (TRI), a test and inspection systems provider for the electronics manufacturing industry, proudly introduces the TR7007Q SII, a state-of-the-art 3D SPI system designed to maximize production efficiency. With its high-speed platform, the TR7007Q SII delivers up to 50% faster inspection compared to previous models, ensuring manufacturers achieve unparalleled performance. The TR7007Q SII is equipped with a 9.8 μm high-resolution 21 MP Camera, delivering enhanced measurement accuracy and stability, ideal for diverse industries. 5G RF Conformance Test System for FR114 August 2023 – Anritsu Corporation has released its New Radio RF Conformance Test System ME7873NR Lite Model supporting 5G Sub-6 GHz (FR1) TRx tests. 5G services primarily using FR1 are expanding gradually, especially in major advanced economies. As a result, demand for FR1 certification conformance tests is expected to increase. However, 5G conformance tests take longer because 5G NR supports flexible numerology with a wide range of frequencies and scheduling for diverse services, which requires a large number of test cases. Consequently, engineers face challenges in meeting development deadlines and obtaining prompt certification. One solution is the purchase of a new conformance test system, however this requires a large additional investment. RedCap Device Emulation for 5G Network Testing11 August 2023 – Viavi Solutions launched the industry’s first Reduced Capability (RedCap) device emulation for 5G network testing, enabling true performance validation for Internet of Things (IoT) and private networks based on a new class of simpler, lower-cost devices including wearables, industrial wireless sensors and video surveillance. This solution is based on the TM500 network test platform, used by the majority of network equipment manufacturers for base station performance testing. 5G Next Generation eCall Test Cases for GCF Approval submitted10 August 2023 - Rohde & Schwarz is first to submit 5G Next Generation eCall (NGeCall) protocol test cases to the 3GPP Global Certification Forum (GCF). The company is also launching a new 5G NGeCall application option that simulates the public safety answering point (PSAP) functions required for the end-to-end conformance tests that verify the interoperability of the equipment under test for the complete communication exchange. Both additions to the Rohde & Schwarz eCall portfolio now support early testing of new 5G Next Generation eCall systems with the R&S CMX500 one-box tester, contributing to a timely introduction of 5G NGeCall. Test of SSD Flexible Data Placement Mode08 August 2023 – Teledyne LeCroy released the SVF/Enduro v5.3 software with support for testing Flexible Data Placement (FDP), which enables SSD suppliers to verify performance and compliance for their state-of-the-art NVMe storage devices. Today, solid-state drives (SSDs) struggle with write amplification and power conservation. Flexible Data Placement Mode represents a significant innovation from key Open Compute Project (OCP) members in addressing these issues which should enable significant quality of service (QOS) and total cost of ownership (TCO) benefits compared to today’s SSDs. Test Setup for fully automated Mobile Device Testing07 August 2023 - Anritsu Corporation has integrated the new COMPRION SIMplifier hardware in its test setup to offer their customers a fully automated test solution for speeding up and easing GCF/PTCRB conformance and carrier acceptance testing. The SIMplifier hardware has been integration in the ME7834NR 5G NR Mobile Device Test Platform which is used by MNOs, chipset and mobile device manufacturers to perform network operator carrier acceptance and GCF/PTCRB conformance tests. For these type of tests, physical SIM cards had to be exchanged in order to make profile updates. Vector E-Mobility Portfolio supports NACS in Development and Operation04 August 2023 – Vector Informatik now offers full functionality according to the North American Charging Standard (NACS). Many vehicle manufacturers announce to use the North American Charging Standard (NACS) in North America. Vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers, as well as charging station manufacturers, must take the NACS standard into account from the development and test phase through to production and operation. Vector already offers a wide range of products that are compliant with the NACS standard. More Articles ...
