RF Test System offers LTE and MIMO 4x2 RF Test Case Coverage

03 September 2013 - 4ffCom enhanced its CTE (Comprehensive Testing Environment) RF Test System to increase LTE and MIMO 4x2 RF test case coverage.  The GCF/PTCRB registered CTE solution already integrates common hardware components into a full specification 2G/3G RF Conformance Test system. Now 4ffCom have worked with Aeroflex to extend LTE RF Test Case coverage using the Aeroflex 7100.

CTE with the ARX 7100 is registered with the GCF/PTCRB as Platform TP123. This delivery adds many new test cases to its LTE test capability, including:

  • Test Cases 36.521-1 Rel. 8 chapter 6, 7, 8, 9
  • FDD bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 17, 19, 20
  • Large number of Rel. 9 and MIMO 4x2 Test Cases
  • Framework for full test scenario automation
  • Framework for full (multiple) DUT automation
  • Regulatory Test Cases LTE R&TTE, FCC, JRL
  • Test Cases for VzW Safe for Network RF Conformance

 "Our CTE combined with an Aeroflex 7100 and NO additional hardware can run 80% of the LTE RF test cases for a fraction the cost of a conventional RF CT system," commented Andreas Renz, CTO, 4ffCom. "And can of course with some additional hardware support 100% of the LTE RF test cases as well as support full automation for testing up to 6 devices."

Apart from LTE the Version V38.0 of CTE - RF also covers GSM, GPRS, EGPRS, WCDMA, HSPA, Bluetooth, WLAN and A-GPS on different HW platforms for both R&D and Conformance testing.
