Generating AOI Test Programs just like handling your Smartphone

27 May 2014 - GOEPEL electronic presented a preliminary version of the AOI system software OptiCon PILOT 6.0, which showcases a completely new design and a new concept in convenience and flexibility. One Highlight of this version is the integrated “SmartGuide”, which allows even inexperienced users a quick and easy way to generate test programs.

If, for example, no suitable test program is available at start of production of a new assembly during night shift, it can be created easily and quickly with the “SmartGuide” whilst product changeover. The clear structured and smooth workflow as well as the full operation via touch screen with large input fields offer program generation as simple as handling a smartphone.

The test program and components contained in the library are visualized in three dimensions for better imagination and comparison. Tested components and possible deviations such as angular position can be detected immediately based on the realistic representation.

In this all-new version OptiCon PILOT 6.0 numerous innovative software technologies were utilized, designed and built from the ground up, besides optimized data structures for test programs, libraries and test results the user can access to additional algorithms for advanced inspection tasks by extended image processing software.
