Programmable Power Supplies with precise Measurement Functions11 August 2014 – Keithley Instruments introduced the Series 2280S Precision Measurement, Low Noise, Programmable DC Power Supplies. Unlike conventional power supplies, Series 2280S power supplies are also sensitive measurement instruments with the speed and dynamic range essential for measuring standby current loads and load current pulses. Typical applications include characterizing battery-powered devices, wireless sensors, RFID tags, intrinsically safe devices, and low power semiconductor devices.
NI enhances LabVIEW 2014 Software with new Capabilities08 August 2014 – National Instruments (NI) announced LabVIEW 2014 system design software, the heart of the NI platform, featuring upgrades to help users acquire, analyze and visualize data sets to make informed decisions fast. In total the latest version of LabVIEW includes 13 user-driven features to optimize coding productivity.
New 75 Ohm Calibration Kit07 August 2014 - Rosenberger introduced a high performance 75 Ohm calibration kit for applications up to 12 GHz. The calibration kit contains RPC-N open, short and broadband loads for measurements in N 75 Ohm applications. Additionally, high quality RPC-N 75 Ohm to BNC 75 Ohm adaptors enable measurements in BNC 75 Ohm applications: calibrate in RPC-N 75 Ohm series, connect the adaptor and measure in BNC 75 Ohm series.
Arbitrary/Function Generators for Signals up to 30 MHz04 August 2014 - The new Yokogawa FG400 Series is a range of arbitrary/function generators that combine intuitive operation with comprehensive sweep and modulation facilities. The instruments allow the creation of basic, application specific and arbitrary waveforms, and feature isolated output channels which allows their use in the development of floating circuits in power electronics applications.
Keysight Technologies begins Operations04 August 2014 – The electronic measurement business of Agilent Technologies has begun operating under the Keysight name. It will remain a wholly owned subsidiary of Agilent Technologies until early November when the separation is expected to be completed and Keysight begins trading on the NYSE under the symbol KEYS.
Yokogawa enhanced Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes01 August 2014 - Yokogawa enhanced its DLM2000 mixed-signal oscilloscope with longer memory capabilities and a number of firmware improvements. In the new version, the length of the acquisition memory has been increased up to 62.5 Mpoints in the standard unit and up to 250 Mpoints with the extended memory option. This means that, with the maximum memory installed (/M3 option), in single-shot mode, a 10 kHz signal lasting for more than one hour can be captured.
Dual Channel Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generators31 July 2014 - B&K Precision launched its new 4060 Series line of dual channel function/arbitrary waveform generators. The series includes three models that generate sine waveforms up to 80 MHz (4063), 120 MHz (4064), and 160 MHz (4065). Featuring an advanced pulse generator and high-performance 512k-point arbitrary waveform generator on one channel, these instruments are ideal for use in applications requiring high signal fidelity with extensive modulation and arbitrary waveform capabilities at a value price point.
