50/67 GHz USB Thermocouple Power Sensors21 February 2014 – Agilent Technologies announced the addition of two new models to its U8480 Series USB thermocouple power sensors. The U8480 Series now comes with improved specifications, including an expanded frequency range to 67 GHz and a measurement speed of 900 readings/second, maintaining the U8480 Series’ status as the world’s fastest USB thermocouple power sensors.
AR Europe expanded the European Sales Team19 February 2014 - AR Europe has re-organised and expanded the European sales team. Tim Hague was appointed as the European Technical Sales Manager last year in order to support distributors and sales associates in systems based projects. In January Rob Hersom and Michel Sauvage both joined the AR UK and AR France sales teams as Technical Sales Engineers to serve the local customer base.
Aeroflex improves Phase Noise Performance of Signal Generators18 February 2014 - Aeroflex has enhanced its S-Series signal generators (SGA and SGD) with improved phase noise and better RF level accuracy. At a carrier frequency of 1 GHz, phase noise is now improved by 6 dB at frequency offsets from 100 kHz to 1 MHz, giving a figure of typically -140 dBc/Hz between these offsets. The S-Series does this while maintaining its industry-leading frequency settling time of 100 µs.
Ultra-broadband omnidirectional Antenna for Spectrum Analyzers13 February 2014 - Aaronia launched the ultra-broadband OmniLOG 70600 small and compact omnidirectional antenna. Despite its small size it covers an extremely wide frequency range of 680 MHz to 6 GHz. Within the most important frequency bands the antenna reaches very high gain up to 6.5 dBi. It fits well with the SPECTRAN handheld spectrum analyzers but can also be used with any other spectrum analyzer brand.
Tegam and AR Europe sign Distribution Agreement for RF Instrumentation13 February 2014 - TEGAM signed an agreement with AR Europe, a subsidiary of Amplifier Research (Souderton, PA), that will streamline sales and improve customer support in Europe. Now, TEGAM RF instrumentation, such as the PM Series of RF power sensor calibrators, the 1830A RF power meter, and TEGAM attenuation measurement systems, will be available through the AR Europe distribution channels.
National Instruments Announces Licensing Agreement With Broadcom11 February 2014 – National Instruments announced that it is the first vendor to execute a Manufacturing Test License (MTL) agreement with Broadcom Corporation. The MTL agreement authorizes NI to provide manufacturing test solutions and modifiable application source code to Broadcom wireless LAN (WLAN) and Bluetooth device customers.
N4L presents new Precision Power Analyzer10 February 2014 - N4L released the PPA4500 precision Power Analyzer. The PPA4500 extends the N4L second generation Power Analyzer range and bridges the gap between the PPA5500 and PPA1500 instruments, featuring high speed FGPA signal processing facilitating an improvement on the processing power and accuracy of the PPA2500 and PPA2600, the PPA4500 will replaces these instruments in the N4L line up.
