News - General T&MArea Monitor for free definable Frequency Bands10 March 2016 – Narda Safety Test Solutions has a new selective Area Monitor on the market: AMS-8061. This autonomous measuring station monitors electromagnetic fields from 100 kHz to 6 GHz in up to 20 freely definable frequency bands. This allows the field exposure levels due to e.g. GSM, UMTS, and LTE as well as DAB and DVB-T to be recorded separately. The measurement conforms to ITU-T Recommendation K.83 “Monitoring of electromagnetic field levels”. Dr. Gerhard Fettweis joins NI Board of Directors08 March 2016 – National Instruments Corporation announced that Dr. Gerhard Fettweis, Vodafone Chair Professor at the Technical University of Dresden (TU Dresden), was appointed to the NI board of directors. Vector Signal Generator featuring 2GHz Modulation Bandwidth07 March 2016 - With the introduction of the new R&S SMW-B9 wideband baseband generation option, Rohde & Schwarz is providing leading-edge baseband capabilities in its R&S SMW200A high-end vector signal generator. The R&S SMW-B9 option extends RF modulation bandwidth to 2 GHz enabling R&D engineers to generate signals with extreme wide bandwidth up to microwave frequencies. No other vector signal generator in the market offers a fully calibrated wideband solution up to 40 GHz in a single device. Optical Spectrum Analyser for Wavelengths from 1500 to 3400 nm03 March 2016 - Yokogawa launched its AQ6376 Optical Spectrum Analyser (OSA). The new analyser covers wavelengths from 1500 to 3400 nm. It uses an advanced monochromator design that helps to separate spectral signals in close proximity to one another, and improves the dynamic range by reducing the influence of stray light. The AQ6376 is designed to operate in the short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) as well as in the mid-wavelength infrared (MWIR) regions. Signal Analyzer featuring 1 GHz Analysis Band29 February 2016 – Keysight Technologies announced new X-Series signal analyzers that provide significantly enhanced capabilities for developers creating next-generation devices. Most notable is a multi-touch user interface (UI) that streamlines measurement setup and creates a solid foundation for new solutions. Performance improvements and feature enhancements address emerging needs in aerospace, defense and wireless communications. Waveguide Mixer Series for V-Band Millimeter-Wave Measurements26 February 2016 – Anritsu Corporation released its new High Performance Waveguide Mixer MA2806A to expand millimeter-wave measurement solutions. Connecting the new MA2806A to Anritsu’s Signal Analyzer MS2830A supports spectrum measurements in the 50-GHz to 75-GHz band (V-band) currently used by various millimeter-wave sensors, WiGig Gigabit Wireless LAN (802.11ad), and broadcast video camera streaming equipment. Analog Measuring Module with Sensor Supply and up to 100 kHz Sampling Rate25 February 2016 – IPETRONIK extends its measuring module family of the Mx- and Sx-series with the Mx-SENS2 4, a X-LINK module for voltage measurements of up to ±100 V and ICP measurements. The four-channel analog measuring module with sensor supply combines high sampling rates of up to 100 kHz per channel with time-synchronic data acquisition and ICP-mode for piezoelectric sensors, such as acceleration / vibration and acoustic sensors. Optionally, TEDS sensor detection is supported. More Articles ...
