CETECOM increased EMC Test Capacities for Large Objects

23 July 2015 – CETECOM has upgraded its electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test capacities to accommodate the growing customer demand for handling large objects. At CETECOM’s Saarbruecken facility, the expanded test chamber now allow large electrical cabinets, medical instruments and other large-volume objects to be accurately and efficiently evaluated. The integrated rotating platform with a high-capacity 63 A electrical motor accommodates heavy test objects with a mass up to 6 tons. Devices up to 4 meters wide can now be tested in this spacious new chamber.

A pallet transporter or lift truck eases the movement of test objects at-grade. Upgraded instrumentation supports radiated and conducted measurements from 9 KHz to 40 GHz. Multiple monitoring options provides unmatched flexibility.

CETECOM’s new test capabilities are ideal for:

  • EN 55011 for ISM product
  • EN 55022 for IT Equipment
  • EN 61000-6-x (Generic Standard)
  • EN 50121 –x (Railway Standards)
  • EN 60645 (Audiology Standards)

An optimal infrastructure through a permanently installed test object connection and multiple monitoring options, a fast and efficient testing process is assured. All of these enhancements lead to an improved flexibility which helps CETECOM to fulfil the desired deadlines of its customers.
