Latest Test and Measurement NewsActive Differential Probes for 1.5 GHz, 3.5 GHz, and 6 GHz01 August 2012 – Agilent Technologies introduced InfiniiMode differential probes, a new generation of low-cost, 1.5-GHz, 3.5-GHz, and 6-GHz differential active probes for general-purpose, high-speed differential probing. They are especially well suited for digital system design, component design/characterization and differential serial bus measurements. Engineers who use high-bandwidth oscilloscopes commonly use active differential probes to measure high-speed signals, but these probes cannot easily show the individual components that make up differential signals. As data signal speeds continue to increase, engineers increasingly need their oscilloscope probes to be able to make fast, accurate measurements. Traditionally, they have looked at separate components using multiple probes and scope channels, but these methods are error-prone and time-consuming. The Agilent N2750A Series probes come with new InfiniiMode technology. InfiniiMode allows convenient measurements of differential, single-ended and common-mode signals with a single probe tip without reconnecting the probe to change the connection. InfiniiMode improves productivity and offers greater accuracy than making the same measurements with multiple probes. Using the quick-action scope control button built into the probe, engineers can easily control the most-needed scope functions. With their low input loading (200 kohm differential), wide dynamic range (10 Vpp), wide offset range (±15 V) and high common-mode rejection ratio (>60 dB at 1 MHz), these probes can be used in a wide variety of analog signal measurements as well. www.agilent.comRelated Articles: |
