CableTest Systems launches new flexible Wiring Analyzer

07 January 2014 – CableTest Systems launched of its newest product, the ‘MPT II’ wiring analyzer, a highly modular, flexible and powerful addition to its ‘MPT’ line of multi-function electrical wiring analyzers. MPT II allows users to combine different programmable power supplies, measurement units and switching in a range of 19” rack mountable enclosures.  When combined with the new MPT Studio software, addition of 3rd party instruments such as Source Measurement Units, Oscilloscopes, and TDR instruments is fast and hassle-free.

MPT II was designed to simplify all aspects of interconnect testing, from test coverage analysis and interface layout, to operator control.  Combined with its MPT Studio software, operators can quickly set-up and run new tests through a fully-updated browser-based graphic user interface that can be controlled by PC, tablet, smartphone or Manufacturing Execution System (MES).  MPT II is compatible with our MPT wiring analyzer which means that existing MPTs can be upgraded to run MPT Studio, and re-use most of the original MPT hardware.

CableTest Director of Engineering, Anton Kukura notes that “We recognize the importance of cross-compatibility across our MPT product line.  Our newest MPTII wiring analyzer and open architecture MPT Studio software makes adding, upgrading and swapping components easy.”
