Portable digital Oscilloscopes with isolated Channels

CA SCOPIX IV08 January 2018 - The new portable, IP54, METRIX SCOPIX IV oscilloscopes of Chauvin-Arnoux are equipped with channels which are genuinely isolated from one another and from the earth with 600 V CAT III safety. They offer all the analysis modes: multimeter, analyser, recorder and viewing of the files recorded on the oscilloscope. Designed and developed using the latest cutting-edge technology, their ergonomic format ensures optimum user comfort.

With its backlit 7" WVGA TFT colour touch screen with black background which makes it particularly easy to read, menus available in more than 13 languages and the design of the keypad and casing, the SCOPIX IV offers optimum user comfort. The keypad on the front panel has been completely redesigned to make it simpler to use with protective gloves. It includes 5 specific direct-access zones (Utilities, Measurements, Vertical, Horizontal, Trigger).

In the field, an adjustable strap allows hands-free use, while in the laboratory, the stand offers excellent stability when placed on a table or bench. Each channel and its related parameters can be identified by the use of an identical colour against a black background for simpler, quicker viewing. A set of interchangeable coloured rings enables you to link the PROBIX accessory to the colour of its channel. The plug-and-play PROBIX accessories are quick to set up and prevent any risk of errors. The coefficients, scales and units of the sensors and the configuration of the channels are managed automatically and the probes and adapters are recognized as soon as they are connected.

Equipped with unprecedented functions, with bandwidths from 60 MHz to 300 MHz, the SCOPIX IV benefits from high performance thanks to its 12-bit converter with a vertical resolution of 0.025 %. In addition to its advanced trigger functions (pulse width, counting, delay), the SCOPIX IV also proposes 20 automatic measurements per channel associated with the cursors for full analysis. The SCOPIX IV benefits from standard and advanced "MATH" functions for defining a mathematical function and vertical scaling with definition of the real physical unit for each of the channels.

When seeking the source of noise in the logic circuits, effective, accurate diagnosis is possible by applying real-time FFT while viewing the waveform and then performing qualitative analysis of the harmonics and the distortion of the signal and examining the pulse response. The multi-channel 8,000-count 200 kHz TRMS multimeter measures amplitudes, resistance, continuity, capacitance, frequency and temperatures. When used with the logger, the SCOPIX IV automatically makes time/date-stamped graphical recordings.

Power measurements are available in this mode: single and three-phase power, active, reactive and apparent power, power factor. The multi-channel harmonic analyser displays the first 63 orders for signals whose fundamental frequency is between 40 and 450 Hz.

On the oscilloscope, users can recall the curves stored in the memory in the various modes and can access the screenshots using a viewer. On the PC, using the ScopeNet application available via web browser with a USB or Ethernet connection, users can control the SCOPIX IV remotely and can program it using SCPI commands.
