News - General T&MTunable Laser Sources for Testing of Optical Components30 October 2015 - Keysight Technologies introduced the 81607A, 81608A and 81609A tunable laser sources, a range of modules for the Keysight 8164B lightwave measurement system. The new modules extend the product family that debuted in March 2015 with the Keysight 81606A tunable laser source, an instrument with unmatched sub-picometer tuning repeatability and best-in-class wavelength accuracy that is maintained even in full-speed, two-way sweeps. New Switching Solutions from Pickering Interfaces29 October 2015 - Pickering Interfaces will be showcasing their latest PXI, PCI & LXI switching and simulation solutions at Productronica, Munich, Germany – November 10-13. The new products include PXI 5Amp Solid-State multiplexers and a modular breakout system. DC Electronic Loads for Configurations up to 500 V, 240 A23 October 2015 - B&K Precision expanded its 8600 Series with the addition of four new programmable DC electronic load models: 8610, 8612, 8614, and 8616. With operating voltage ranges up to 500 V, the new models bring to the series a significant increase in power range from 250 W to 1500 W and a new offering capable of sinking up to 240 A for high current applications. All models provide adjustable current slew rate, fast transient operation speeds up to 25 kHz, and built-in battery and LED test mode functions. 92-GSa/s Arbitrary Waveform Generator20 October 2015 – Keysight added a 92-GSa/s, 32-GHz modular instrument to its portfolio of arbitrary waveform generators. The new high-speed, wide-bandwidth M8196A arbitrary waveform generator allows engineers to generate digital, multi-level (e.g., PAM-4, PAM-8, DMT) signal scenarios at 8 bits vertical resolution and test their electrical and optical links with complex modulated signals up to 64 GBaud. Programmable Power Supplies with up to 1080W Output16 October 2015 – Tektronix introduced eight new programmable DC power supplies. These additions to the Keithley Series 2260B power supply family include six new 250V and 800V high voltage models, a new 108A high current model and a new 80V/40A 1080W high power model. The new additions expand the test applications for the Series 2260B family, allowing the supplies to source higher power, high voltage, and higher current components, sub-assemblies, and products. Anritsu to be Sales Representative for Teledyne LeCroy Products in UK and Ireland14 October 2015 – Anritsu Corporation and Teledyne LeCroy announced they have signed an agreement providing for Anritsu to become an authorised reseller of Teledyne LeCroy products in the UK and Ireland. Under this agreement Anritsu will provide the local sales and support service for Teledyne LeCroy in UK and Ireland, including customer demonstrations and technical support. The agreement also includes the transfer of Teledyne LeCroy sales staff in UK to Anritsu EMEA Ltd. ISO17025 Calibration for Power Measurements up to 100 kHz12 October 2015 - Yokogawa’s European Calibration Laboratory has become the world’s first non-governmental facility to receive full ISO17025 Accreditation for power measurements at up to 100 kHz. This is in addition to its established capability for providing high-accuracy calibration at 50 Hz, especially at very low power factors (down to 0.0001) and at high currents. More Articles ...
