News - Board and System TestProtocol Analyzer for PCI Express 4.0 Technology17 October 2016 – Teledyne LeCroy launched its new PCI Express (PCIe) protocol analyzer for capturing, recording and analyzing PCIe 4.0 systems and devices. The Summit T416 analyzer is the computer industry's first high speed PCIe 4.0 protocol analyzer that meets the challenge of 16GT/s and up to x16 lane width protocol analysis. Many PCIe 4.0 product designs are already in progress using the PCIe 4.0 specification. Testing and Debugging Environment for safety-critical Automotive Applications14 October 2016 – By introducing version 4.6 of its Universal Debug Engine (UDE) at this year’s electronica trade show (hall A6, booth A16), PLS Programmierbare Logik & Systeme provides a testing and debugging environment optimally matched to the comprehensive internal error-checking functions of STMicroelectronics’ current SPC570S family of automotive MCUs based on the 32-bit Power Architecture. Tektronix enhances Optical Modulation Analyzer Software13 October 2016 – Tektronix announced a series of enhancements to its optical modulation analyzer (OMA) software. The latest release provides optical research engineers with the ability to evaluate multi-channel coherent modulation schemes with confidence using a single measurement system. Engineers can now calibrate and control multiple OMA’s to easily acquire and analyze simultaneous data from multiple channels such as different wavelengths or fiber cores. 5G Signal Generation and Analysis based on Verizon 5G open trial Specifications12 October 2016 -- Rohde & Schwarz has successfully demonstrated the generation and analysis of 5G signals based on the characteristics as specified in the Verizon open trial specifications. The R&S SMW200A vector signal generator and the R&S FSW signal and spectrum analyzer both provide outstanding test and measurement capabilities, resulting in an EVM performance of 1 % when applying these 5G signals. High-Performance Analysis of both Non-Coherent and Coherent Optical Links05 October 2016 – Teledyne LeCroy further extends its portfolio with two new products for testing coherent links up to 32 Gbaud. The O/E converter is the highest-performance optical-to-electrical converter available for real-time oscilloscopes, with 25 GHz of optical bandwidth. The IQS25 Coherent Optical Receiver joins the IQS product family as a lower-cost alternative to the high-performance IQS42 and IQS70 receivers. 802.11ad Test Solution accelerates Device Validation29 September 2016 – Keysight Technologies announced the volume launch of their solution for testing 802.11ad devices. The flexible and compact E7760A wideband transceiver is an integrated test solution that supports the IEEE 802.11ad wireless standard. The solution was introduced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year. Testing High-power RF Ports of RF Front-end Modules27 September 2016 – National Instruments (NI) announced new RF capabilities for higher power transmit and receive, and FPGA-based real-time envelope tracking and digital predistortion for the Semiconductor Test System (STS). The new RF ports for the STS can transmit at +38 dBm and receive at +40 dBm at the RF blind mates, which is an industry-leading capability not available in any other commercial solution.
