News - Board and System TestHigh-Power DC Emulator for Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Applications09 November 2022 - Keysight Technologies announced the enhanced Scienlab Regenerative DC Emulator (SL1800A Series), the next generation high power direct current (DC) emulator for electric vehicle (EV) fast charging applications that enables customers to achieve high-power DC charging test up to 270 kilowatts (kW) in a small footprint. Typical high-power DC test systems are large and occupy valuable lab floor space. These systems are also inefficient, requiring large amounts of energy to run the test system and to keep the lab space cool during high-power tests. When performing high-power DC fast charging tests, customers need a solution that combines the needed power requirements with communication tests and monitoring that is easy to set up and use. USB4 Version 2.0 Physical Layer Testing08 November 2022 - Teledyne LeCroy announced support for USB4 Version 2.0 physical layer compliance and validation with updates to its QualiPHY compliance test software and SDAIII-CompleteLinQ Serial Data Analysis software to support testing of new USB 80 Gbps data transfer speeds over the USB Type-C cable and connector. The new software tools support the latest PAM3-based USB standard. Test of LTE-V2X for Connected Autonomous Vehicle Applications02 November 2022 – Anritsu Company introduces LTE-V2X PSCCH TX Measurement MX887068A-001 software option enhancing the Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) measurement function of Universal Wireless Test Set MT8870A/MT8872A. Adding this new MX887068A-001 option to the LTE-V2X Tx Measurement MX887068A software for the MT8870A/MT8872A not only supports the Physical Sidelink Shared Channel (PSSCH) for LTE-V2X (PC5) but also supports RF measurement of the Physical Sidelink Control Channel (PSCCH). As well as supporting mass-production of LTE-V2X (PC5) devices, this option facilitates evaluation of R&D RF test items. First DisplayPort 2.1 Video Analyzer and Generator27 October 2022 – Teledyne LeCroy announced the availability of the quantumdata M42de, supporting the newly released DisplayPort 2.1 specification. The new quantumdata M42de is a full-featured DisplayPort 2.1 Video Analyzer and Generator that supports testing of source and sink devices over USB Type-C and the new DP80 full-size DisplayPort connectors. The next evolution of the popular quantumdata M42d, the industry first DisplayPort 2.0 Analyzer/Generator, the M42de supports all the same VESA DisplayPort 2.0 compliance test options, including Link Layer for UHBR / HBR, Adaptive Sync, LTTPR, EDID and DisplayID, and new DisplayPort 2.1 features like CableID and LTTPR emulation. Battery Simulator validates EV Devices in Real Time25 October 2022 - In addition to its range of EV and battery test solutions, automated test equipment provider Chroma ATE recently launched a high-power battery simulator to test battery-connected devices. Integrated with any Chroma regenerative battery cycler or bidirectional DC power supply, the software simulates the battery state removing the wait time for the charge/discharge of an actual battery. Testing devices with an actual battery can be both cost and time-prohibitive, especially if multiple channels are required. Battery simulation software can validate device functions during testing without the need of an actual battery. Automotive Radar Test Chamber with Temperature Test24 October 2022 - The R&S ATS1500C antenna test system from Rohde & Schwarz offers a new temperature test option and a new feed antenna. These additional features enable temperature-controlled measurements in a wide temperature range as well as parallel access to both polarizations, increasing test efficiency and flexibility. The movable R&S ATS1500C is a compact antenna test range (CATR) based antenna test chamber. It is carefully designed to eliminate ghost targets within the chamber during target simulation tests and includes a highly accurate positioner for angular measurements. Validation of 224 Gbps Transceiver SoCs21 October 2022 - Keysight Technologies announced that the company's new 224G Ethernet test solutions enables system-on-a-chip (SoC) makers to validate next generation electrical interface technology, accelerating 1.6 terabit per second (1.6T) transceiver design and pathfinding.
