News - General T&MMulti-Channel System for RF Signal Generation or Acquisition22 July 2022 - Red Pitaya enhanced its range of high-performance open-source instruments with two new solutions – the STEMlab 125-14 X-Channel System will enable users to the adjust number of channels required to their own needs, and a 4 RF Input single-board test and measurement platform that will fulfill the needs of multi-channel applications. Rohde & Schwarz enhanced its high-performance Oscilloscopes19 July 2022 — Rohde & Schwarz introduced a new generation of R&S RTP high-performance oscilloscopes, which combine high-class signal integrity measurements with the fastest possible acquisition for real-time analysis. The new models come with a bigger and brighter 13.3” full HD touchscreen and a fully redesigned front panel. Users can take advantage of the crisp 16:9 screen format, which displays waveforms while allowing settings to be altered and changed quickly. The intuitive front panel increases productivity with fast, direct access to primary instrument settings. All this, without compromising the overall instrument footprint to keep occupied desk space to a minimum. Battery-Powered Portable 200/300MHz Oscilloscopes18 July 2022 - Saelig Company, Inc. announced the Micsig STO2000C Series 2-channel Portable Oscilloscopes, which offer a bandwidth choice of 200 or 300MHz, 280Mpts of memory, 2GSa/s sampling rate (single channel), up to 270,000wfm/s refresh rate, and a 7.5Ah Li battery for extended field use. This portable instrument combines a capacitive 8” TFT LCD touch screen (touch, drag, and swipe) with traditional ‘button & knob’ operation to make scope operation easy and efficient. An external USB mouse can also be connected for additional control choices. SIGLENT launched its first Oscilloscope Series with 12-bit vertical Resolution12 July 2022 - SIGLENT Technologies introduced a new 12-bit oscilloscope series. Compared to 8-bit, 12-bit systems have 16x higher vertical resolution which provides significantly lower quantization error. This improvement in resolution is valuable when analyzing the smallest signal details, and is especially useful when the zoom function is used. The analog-to-digital converters have a maximum sampling rate of 2 GS/s and all models in the series come with 4 analog input channels. All oscilloscopes are equipped with two AD converters and 2 x 200 Mpt acquisition memory. Portable Oscilloscope with Benchtop Performance07 Juli 2022 - Tektronix launched the 2 Series Mixed Signal Oscilloscope (MSO) which can go seamlessly from the bench to the field and back, enabling workflows previously unimagined on a scope. It is the first portable oscilloscope to offer benchtop performance and the award-winning Tektronix user interface. Weighing less than 1.8kgs and 38mm thin, the 2 Series MSO can fit into a small backpack, delivering unmatched performance and portability. 56 GHz and 67 GHz Frequency Options for Vector Signal Generator05 July 2022 - Rohde & Schwarz introduced two new maximum frequencies for the R&S SMW200A vector signal generator, bringing its high performance to digitally modulated signals up to 67 GHz and beyond. The R&S SMW200A is first to enable flat frequency response and 2 GHz modulation bandwidth above 44 GHz. In addition to all applications already supported up to 44 GHz, the 100 kHz to 56 GHz option covers all currently used 5G frequencies, plus earth-to-satellite applications. The 100 kHz to 67 GHz option also supports planned higher frequency 5G bands, the 60 GHz WiGig band, and inter-satellite links. PXI Microwave Multiplexer with 67 GHz terminated Switches04 July 2022 – Pickering Interfaces has augmented its 4x-785C range of SP4T & SP6T microwave multiplexers with the addition of 67 GHz terminated SP4T / SP6T modules to support the latest requirements of the 5G and semiconductor test sectors. The 40-785C (PXI) and 42-785C (PXIe) modules feature internal relay terminations that can improve signal integrity. Devices feature panel and remote mount options that enable users to locate the switches at the most convenient location for their application; remote mount options occupy a single chassis slot but can control up to three switches, saving space.
